COB玻璃透镜的优缺点

亚克力透镜由有机玻璃塑胶PMMA或聚碳酸酯PC,特性如下:
1、耐热只有60~90℃。
2、亚克力与胶水粘接性不良,且不可烘烤,只能采用紫外线UV亚克力胶水与玻璃或铝件粘接。
当LED灯泡燃点时,散热体达到60~90℃或更高温度,亚克力会发生如上图右图严重收缩变形,UV胶水会拉开,容易发生掉盖现象。亚克力长期高温工作,其表面会发雾发黄,影响光学性能,光照度下降。
开发的这种COB玻璃透镜克服了亚克力透镜的缺点,其具有:
1、 耐热,永不变形;
2、 导热好,帮助LED散热;

3、 使用普通矽胶自然固化,成本低,且避免员工接触刺激性UV胶粘剂。

Advantages and Disadvantages of COB Glass Lenses Compared to Acrylic Lenses
Characteristics of Acrylic Lenses (PMMA or PC):
1. Low Heat Resistance:
o Tolerates temperatures only up to 60–90°C.
2. Poor Adhesion with Glue:
o Requires UV-curable acrylic adhesive for bonding with glass or aluminum components.
o Cannot withstand baking or high temperatures.
3. Deformation and Durability Issues:
o At high temperatures (e.g., 60–90°C or above when the LED heatsink operates), acrylic lenses are prone to:
 Severe shrinkage and deformation.
 Glue detachment, leading to covers falling off.
o Prolonged exposure to heat causes the surface to:
 Fog or yellow, impacting optical performance and reducing illumination efficiency.

Advantages of COB Glass Lenses Over Acrylic Lenses:
1. High Heat Resistance:
o Does not deform under high temperatures, ensuring long-term reliability.
2. Good Thermal Conductivity:
o Effectively dissipates heat, helping to improve LED cooling performance.
3. Cost-Effective and Safer Assembly:
o Utilizes ordinary silicone for natural curing, reducing costs.
o Avoids the need for employees to handle irritating UV adhesives.

While acrylic lenses are cost-effective and lightweight, COB glass lenses provide superior durability, heat resistance, and optical stability, making them a better choice for high-performance LED applications, especially where temperature and longevity are critical factors.
